Who We Are:
Joseph M. Godsil (Partner/CEO) is an experienced consultant, entrepreneur, and business leader whose expertise has been applied to successfully formulate and implement corporate business and technology strategies. Godsil has applied his experience in large and start-up environments.
Joseph has over 25 years of experience as a technology and business leader. During his career he has held positions of increasing responsibility and distinction with premier organizations including Reconnex, VeriSign, MedicaLogic, Netscape and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA).
Godsil’s work in Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Governance Risk Compliance (GRC) at Reconnex, was instrumental to the success of the organization. Responsibility at VeriSign included deployment of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), secure e-mail (S/MIME) and Managed Security Services (MSS). He was CTO and key member of the management team of privately held Flywheel Communications and MedicaLogic (multiple M&A transactions and IPO’d).
Joseph worked at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) in Champaign, IL. His tenure at NCSA included research in the areas of high performance network development, scaleable WWW server software and support for the Mosaic project. His work with the Domain Name System (DNS) in 1993 allowed scalability of WWW servers – round robin DNS. His round robin DNS technology was a harbinger of the commercial offerings by Cisco (Local Director) and F5 (BIG-IP). He received a B.S degree in computer information systems and an athletics letterman from Millikin University.
